i have some big white border to seperate the living room colors. i want top of the border one color and underneath the border another color. what two colors would look good in a living room. the couches are a darkr blue and i have a lot of glass tables and a glass bar and a glass wine rack and a fan with mirrors and lots of other big mirrors. the floors wood and i have a large rug thats black with little hints of blue and red and green. any ideas? im clueless. i do pick the colors that yall give me cuz im terrible with chosing colors. thank you

We have a 400 square foot family room upstairs with 4 walls and 3 huge windows. We want to have the walls painted dark charcoal, black crown molding and Burgundy wood floors. Has anyone did something similar? We have a dark purple sectional couch that sits 10 people, we have a black coffee table with marble top. We are going to have a black iron wine rack with glass on top. I am just curious at to how it will look. Ceiling will be white and the blinds are white. We are going to add colorful pics.

When we where in Calais we had dinner at a restaurant that brought the wine to the table in a stand that had a rod that was kept in the freezer for a few hours to keep it very cold - this in turn was placed inside the bottle of wine to keep it cool - at the top of the rod the tip moved to allow the wine to be poured, keeping the rod in the bottle - any idea what this cooler or rack is called - apparently they are a French invension.

my dining room and kitchen are connected, there is a long plain wall that runs the length of both of them. I have already painted the bottom burgundy and the top a cream color and there is wood trim seperating the two. I have a dining table, a china cabinet and a large aquarium in the dining room but this one long wall still looks plain and I don't know what to put there. It kinda dwarfs any paintings or pictures I have put there (unless I go spend $1000.00) on a huge one. I thought maybe tall wine rack in the dining room and one of those tall tabled with barstools in the kitchen area? Help I'm so confused and obviously not a decorator....lol

My son bought a nice wrought iron wine rack with a beautiful marble top recently - a small 3/4" chip on the edge occurred as it was moved from the wedding site to home - is there something we can buy/mix or try to cover/fill/blend in so it isn't so noticable? He was greatly saddened about it when they returned from their honeymoon. Thanks.

Since I do not drink I need help from those who do. I have started buying wine from time to time for my guests. And an occasional bottle of Liquor. I will be adding a medium to small sized wine rack that has a table on top and a drawer for any accessories. Can Liquor bottles be stored the same way as the wine? On the rack? Or do they need a different storage system? Thanks in advance.

A while back, I bought a beautiful iron bottle rack wine bar holder at an auction at a very high end furniture store. I think it is about 2 1/2 to 3 feet in height and about 3 1/2 in length. Its all in black and has beautiful grapes and leaves but all in iron. A glass sits on top of the rack for wine glasses. It just does not match the inside of our NEW house. I was thinking about taking it out side under a wood porch. I will REALLY match the black patio table. I just don't know if it will rust and wonder if I should pray it with some kind of protection. Any suggestions?
